Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Location: Not specified. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care for pediatric patients with various respiratory conditions, including airway management, blood gas assessment, and emergency response. The role requires collaboration within a healthcare facility to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Position Description: Minimum experience of 1 year supporting all age groups; 2 years preferred. Willingness to accept first-time travel assignments is required. Patient types include those with respiratory distress, airway issues, and vent dependency.
- Licenses and Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT, and a Washington state license are required.
- Skills Required: Airway assessment and management, blood gas assessment, drawing and analysis, emergency response including rapid response and code blue situations, intubation, extubation, equipment setup, disassembly, and ventilator management.
- Schedule: Nights shift from 6:30 pm to 7:00 am, totaling 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The assignment involves floating support with the possibility of covering multiple units, weekend rotations every other week, and no on-call responsibilities. Scrub color and style are flexible.
- Start and End Dates: November 2, 2026, through January 30, 2027.
- Submission: Candidates must be prepared to submit relevant licensure and certifications to be considered for this assignment.
