Job Description:

This is an ICU/PCU Hybrid contract in a mixed critical care unit handling neuro, spine, cardiac, medical, and surgical patients. The RN ratio is typically 2:1 with critical patients, with flexibility to handle 3:1 as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for critically ill patients in a mixed Neuro/Spine/Cardiac/Medical/Surgical setting
• Manage advanced medical equipment like balloon pumps, CRRT, Impella, and open heart procedures
• Perform tasks independently including lab draws, consults, and code management
• Floating to PCU/CCU and all inpatient units as needed
• Scheduled for every other weekend and holiday coverage based on unit needs

Requirements:

• 2 years recent experience in Critical Care/Intensive Care Unit
• Experience with advanced medical equipment, including balloon pump, CRRT, Impella, and open hearts
• Valid KS RN or Compact RN License, BLS, ACLS, & NIH certifications
• Ability to float to various units including Med/surge, Med/tele, Acute/tele, and ED
