Job Description:

Performs medical mammograms in order to diagnose disease or trauma. Responsible for programming the machine for correct density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion. Prepares, maintains and operates mammography equipment in a safe and responsible manner, following appropriate radiation safety guidelines. Performs and documents all QA/QC tests as defined by MQSA. Required to work on Mobile Mammography Van, when needed, including some weekends. All requirements and responsibilities apply when assigned on van.

Requirements:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Mammography required within 2 years from date of hire
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Graduate from a two-year AMA approved radiologic technology program Required
• 2 years experience in a Radiologic Technologist position Required
• 1 year experience in Mammography Preferred
• Licenses: Reg Technologist (R) (M) Required
• Mammo Quality Stand Act Req Required
• Basic Life Support Required
