Job Description:

This position requires TELE experience. The registered nurse will work in a 32-bed MedSurg unit focusing on Ortho, Surgical, and Oncology patients. The nurse will be responsible for reading strips and titrating Amiodarone and Cardizem. The role involves participation in a JHACO certified knee and hip program and handling various surgical cases.

Responsibilities:

• Work with GE Monitors and central monitoring station tech for telemetry patients.
• Manage patient care with a ratio of 1:4 for both day and night shifts.
• Participate in floor-specific orientation for 2 shifts on the floor.
• Float to MedSurg Tele B2C and B2D as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent MedSurg experience within the past 6 months.
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start with a maximum of 2 attempts.
• Must be able to read telemetry strips and titrate Amiodarone and Cardizem.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Must not live within 50 miles of the facility and provide current driver's license upon submission.
