Description
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse is a vital member of the patient care team, responsible for delivering both direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process across all assigned areas. The RN will assess patients upon admission utilizing appropriate interview techniques to obtain comprehensive medical histories, current medical statuses, vital signs, lab results, X-ray reports, and other diagnostic tests. Additionally, they will assist in the planning and implementation of a written care plan under the direction of a Physician.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Active New Hampshire RN license required or eligibility for obtaining one.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
Essential Job Functions
Assessment
- Capable of performing standard assessments using basic medical equipment.
Medication Administration
- Possesses visual acuity and hand-eye coordination for safe medication administration.
Communication and Documentation
- Maintains confidentiality and communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
Patient Safety
- Meets standards of job analysis concerning patient safety.
Interpersonal Skills
- Interacts positively with team members and patients.
- Respects patients' culture, lifestyle, religion, and age in care planning and implementation.
- Accepts constructive criticism and manages emotional responses in a positive manner.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved School of Nursing.
- Current New Hampshire RN license required or eligibility to obtain one.
- Clinical experience preferred.
Professional Activities
- Membership in a professional nursing organization preferred.
- Certification in a specialty area is preferred.
Additional Information
Orientation may require up to 16 hours of unpaid time. The organization reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract.
