Job Summary
The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing MRI studies following established protocols set by the Radiologists. This role involves operating the MRI scanner to produce high-quality images and ensuring a smooth patient experience throughout the scanning procedure.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI studies according to established radiological protocols.
- Operate MRI scanner to generate images of consistent, optimal quality.
- Prepare the scan room and equipment appropriately for each procedure.
- Position patients, coils, and equipment as needed for each scan.
- Maintain clear communication with patients throughout the scanning process.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of a non-degree program from an accredited AMA Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate program is required.
- 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist is required.
- 1 year of experience in CT or MRI is preferred.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) MR certification is required within 2 years from date of hire.

- Registered Technologist (R) - Required
- Registered Technologist (MR) - Required
- Basic Life Support certification - Required
