Description
General Information
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team. This position offers a dynamic work environment with a focus on patient care and teamwork.
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 56
- Patient Ratios:
- PCU/Tele RN: 1:4 (Days/Nights)
- Med/Surg RN: 1:5 (Days/Nights)
- CNA: 1:8 (Days/Nights)
- Patient Types: Adults with various diagnoses including CHF, ARF, hepatitis, ESLD, DM, DKA, pneumonia, sepsis, GI bleed, syncope, chest pain, pulmonary emboli, respiratory failure, COPD, arrhythmias, seizure disorders, overdose, and delirium tremors.
Qualifications
- Minimum Experience: 1-1.5 years of relevant nursing experience required
- Required Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Required Education: Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing
- Telemetry or acute care experience is preferred, including cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV starts, and blood product administration.

- Professional bedside manner with a strong team-oriented approach

Support on the Unit
- Charge nurses available 24/7 to provide oversight
- Resource Nurse support based on staffing needs
- Centralized Tele Monitoring is available 24/7 for alarm notifications and tele reading assistance
- Phlebotomy services available 24/7 for peripheral blood draws
Orientation and Scheduling
- Orientation includes 2 days of in-class/online education followed by 2 shifts on the unit with a preceptor
- Weekend rotation expected: every other or 50% of weekends per 4-week schedule
- Holiday expectations: Every other holiday minimum during contracted timeframe
Additional Notes
- Participate in required huddles prior to shift starts
- Could be expected to precept students
- Audits conducted monthly for compliance with best practices
