This unit specializes in Orthopedic and Spine care, providing a comprehensive range of services to patients. The unit features:
- Number of Beds: 345
- Staffing: Approximately 80 in the float pool with RN and CNA coverage on both day and night shifts.
- Patient Ratios: Estimated 1:5 during both day and night shifts, varying between units.
- Types of Equipment: Various orthopedic and spine care tools.
- EMR System: Meditech
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Required:
- Minimum of 1 year of current acute care experience in Med/Surg or Orthopedic settings.
- Current BLS certification.
- Preferred:
- ACLS certification.
- Chemo Certification (candidates with this certification may have opportunities in Oncology).
Typical Procedures
Common procedures performed in this unit include:
- Joint replacements and fracture repairs.
- Care for spinal injuries.
