Unit Information

This unit specializes in Orthopedic and Spine care, providing a comprehensive range of services to patients. The unit features:

• Number of Beds: 345
• Staffing: Approximately 80 in the float pool with RN and CNA coverage on both day and night shifts.
• Patient Ratios: Estimated 1:5 during both day and night shifts, varying between units.
• Types of Equipment: Various orthopedic and spine care tools.
• EMR System: Meditech

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Required:
  • Minimum of 1 year of current acute care experience in Med/Surg or Orthopedic settings.
  • Current BLS certification.
• Preferred:
  • ACLS certification.
  • Chemo Certification (candidates with this certification may have opportunities in Oncology).

Typical Procedures

Common procedures performed in this unit include:

• Joint replacements and fracture repairs.
• Care for spinal injuries.
