About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery unit. This position requires proficiency in high-risk obstetric care and immediate newborn care. Join our dynamic team in providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 16
- Staffing: 120 total staff members
- Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2
- Equipment: Baxter Pumps, Phillips electronic fetal monitoring
- EMR System: Cerner, Fetal ink
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Experience with high-risk situations
- Immediate newborn care competency
- Current certifications: NRP, BLS/ALS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring
Preferred Qualifications:
- Circulating experience in surgical procedures
Typical Procedures Performed
- Vaginal Deliveries
- Cesarean Sections
- D&C (Dilation and Curettage)
- Cerclage
- C-Hyst (Cesarean Hysterectomy)
