General Information

This position is located in a unit with a total of 44 beds and a dedicated staff of 95 professionals. The teams operate under a structured shift system to ensure continuous care for the patients.

Unit Overview

• Day Shift Staffing: 2 CNC/Charge, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC
• Night Shift Staffing: 2 CNC/Charge, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 at grid, 5:1 stretched
• Type of Equipment: IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pump, chest tubes, trach care, patient lifts
• EMR System: Cerner

Qualifications

Must Have:

• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS
• Neuro and Trauma Care experience

Preferred:

• Additional Neuro and Trauma Care experience

Typical Procedures Performed

• Neuro and spinal checks
• C-Collar placement, TLSO braces
• Chest tube insertion, PCA pump management, IV infusions
• Lumbar drain management
• Feeding tube placement
• Blood transfusions

Floating Area(s)

Expect to float between step-down units and med-surg units as required.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required for this position.
