Description
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional care to critically ill neonates in a fast-paced environment.
Unit Information
The NICU unit consists of 51 beds and is supported by approximately 120 staff members, which includes registered nurses, respiratory therapists, and technicians. Our nurse-to-patient ratios are flexible, typically ranging from 1:1 to 1:4, depending on the needs of our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to neonates requiring advanced medical interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and assess the health status of patients using established protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document nursing care in the electronic medical record.
- Educate and support families regarding their infants' conditions and care options.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2 years of Level III or higher NICU experience is preferred.
- Certifications: Must have NRP certification; STABLE and NIC-RNC certifications are preferred.

Additional Information
This position may require some floating to pediatric units, PICU, and Mother-Baby areas (babies only). The dress code for the unit includes navy blue scrubs. Weekend shifts will be required, typically scheduled every other weekend.
