Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our medical-surgical unit. This position requires a focus on teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication skills to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 30
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Unit Staff: Includes Clinical Coordinators, Unit Secretary, Patient Care Technicians, and Case Management support.
• Equipment Used: Walkers, IV pumps, Sequential Compression Devices, and more.
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 4 weekend shifts per 28-day schedule; participates in holiday rotation.
• Floating Policy: Staff may float within the region as needed.
• Patient Experience Goals: Aiming for a 72% satisfaction rate, utilizing communication boards.

Qualifications

• Required Skills: Valid RN license, strong teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Advanced Skills: Experience in medical-surgical nursing, including knowledge of respiratory and renal diseases, GI illnesses, telemetry, central venous catheters, indwelling catheters, and heparin infusions.
• Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS).

Dress Code

Uniform requirement is navy blue scrubs.
