Position Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a robust background in orthopedic care to join our team.
General Information
- Unit Name: 5 East Ortho/Spine
- Number of Beds: 26
- Patient Ratios: 6:1
- Unit Staffing: Includes a unit secretary, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and a navigator.
- Type of Equipment: Coolers, walkers, Sequential Compression Devices (SCDs), Continuous Passive Motion machines (CPMs)
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Weekend Shift Requirement: 4 shifts per schedule
- Floating Policy: Rotation among units
- Patient Experience Target: 72%
Advanced Skills Required
- Strong clinical skills in orthopedic and spine care
- Experience with procedures such as knee and hip replacements and multi-level spine surgeries
Qualifications
- Required Licensure: Current RN License
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant setting
- Essential Qualities: Compassion, teamwork, and effective communication skills
Dress Code
Mandatory uniform: Navy scrubs.
