Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Description

This is a travel position for an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) operating on a 7P-7A schedule from Thursday to Saturday. The role includes a call requirement of one day per week and one weekend per month.

Unit Information

• Unit Name: Surgery (701)
• Location: McKinney, TX
• Number of OR Suites: 7
• Number of Staff: 45
• Types of Staff: RNs, Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs), and ancillary support staff
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:1
• Equipment: Various surgical instruments
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Qualifications

Required Skills: Experience in the Operating Room is mandatory; Labor & Delivery experience is not applicable. Candidates must possess:

• Neuro and Ortho/Spine experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a trauma center
• Additional orthopedic experience

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Dress Code

Scrubs will be provided by the facility, and employees are required to change into these scrubs each day.

Additional Information

Call requirements amount to approximately 10 days per month. This includes taking call one day per week and one weekend per month.
