Description

CT Technologist

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our team. This position is primarily focused on providing high-quality imaging services for patients aged 0-18 years. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be a self-starter, and have a passion for working with children and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures on pediatric patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families to help ease anxiety and explain procedures.
  • Maintain high standards for image quality and ensure optimal operation of imaging equipment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently while providing compassionate care.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, pediatric experience preferred.
  • Current ARRT certification in CT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Valid state license to practice in Washington.
  • Ability to produce high-quality images while maintaining a calm and friendly demeanor with pediatric patients.

Work Environment

The position is located in a newly built, state-of-the-art trauma facility in Tacoma, WA. The facility includes a 152 total bed capacity, with 70 NICU beds.

Schedule

The specific shift and weekend rotation may vary based on departmental needs. On-call duties may be required, limited to off-hours and weekends, not exceeding 24 hours per month.
