Description
Position Overview
Seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced diagnostic radiology environment. The candidate must have a strong background in CT technology and be prepared to work with various patient populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT scans utilizing Philips iPatient 64 and Big Bore 16 equipment.
- Contribute to patient care in a collaborative environment alongside radiologists, hospitalists, and intensivists.
- Assist in the Operating Room (OR) using C-arms and provide support during emergencies in the Emergency Room (ER).
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with state regulations.
- Document and maintain accurate patient records using Cerner EMR systems.
Qualifications
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech I or II) with CT experience.
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and Fluoroscopy, as required by the state of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in CT technology; first-time travelers will be considered.
- Experience in Level II Trauma units is preferred but not required.
- A strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be a self-starter.
Work Environment
Shifts will vary between 8, 10, and 12 hours, with 10-hour day shifts required from Friday to Sunday. Candidates should be prepared to work on holidays and may be required to participate in call rotations, which will be discussed during the interview process. Orientation will consist of 1-2 shifts in the department.
Additional Information
- Scrub color is teal, with provided scrubs for OR duties.
- Radiology department operates at a high pace; candidates are expected to be adaptable and proactive.
- Cancellation policy allows the facility to cancel shifts up to three times per contract.
- COVID-19 vaccination is required.
