Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Emergency Room. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating excellent clinical skills and a commitment to teamwork.

Unit Information

Located in a facility with:

• Number of Beds: 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 Fast Track rooms, 5 behavioral health rooms
• Number of Staff: 111
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 for emergency department, 1:5 for behavioral health, 1:3 for cardiac/trauma
• Type of Equipment: Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, Stryker stretchers
• EMR: MEDITECH

Work Schedule

This position requires rotating weekends and supports day shifts with additional mid-shifts available.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in the emergency department, including evaluating and monitoring patient conditions.
• Perform various procedures such as splinting, conducting EKGs, and trauma assists.
• Utilize equipment effectively, including central monitoring and rapid infusers.
• Implement behavioral health de-escalation strategies when necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Must have:

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• ENPC certification
• TNCC certification
• NIHSS certification

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience with MEDITECH
• Prior trauma experience
• Inpatient care experience
• CPI certification

Dress Code

Uniform color: Navy blue scrubs for RNs. Adhere to all established facility policies regarding dress code.
