Unit Information
- Unit Name: A6 West Neurosciences
- Number of Beds: 36
- Number of Staff: 40
- Patient Ratios: 5:1 during day shift, 6:1 stretch during day shift, 7:1 stretch during night shift
- Equipment: Standard Med Surge Equipment
- EMR: Cerner
Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team on the A6 West Neurosciences unit. This unit is designed to provide comprehensive care to patients in need of neurology and telemetry services.
Required Certifications
- ACLS
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in neurology or neuro critical care
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the medical team
- Perform procedures such as Foley insertion and IV starts
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care
- Educate patients and families regarding care and treatment plans
Staffing and Schedule
This position will require availability for evening shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, including every other weekend.
