Shift Details

Weekend shifts from Friday to Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with 2-3 on-call shifts per month.

Facility Overview

Located in Puyallup, WA, this is a Level III Trauma Center with 375 licensed beds.

General Information

The imaging department is equipped with:

• 3 CT Suites

Experience Requirements

Successful candidates must have:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a large Level 3 or higher facility
• Comfort in a fast-paced environment
• Broad experience, particularly in handling ER and ICU patients

Patient Types

Day Shift: Involves general, diagnostic, interventional imaging, assisting with procedures, and performing scans on ER and critical cases.

Evening/Night Shift: Predominantly involves ER and ICU patients, with a preference for candidates with cardiac CT experience.

Licensure and Certifications

Required qualifications include:

• BLS Certification
• ARRT – CT & R Certification
• Washington State License

Essential Skills

• Experience with acute care settings
• Proven ability to handle various case types mentioned

Support on the Unit

• Lead CT Technologist
• Respiratory Therapy
• Hospitalist
• Radiologist: On-site during the day; off-site at night but available as needed
• Registered Respiratory Therapists
• CT Transporter available (except from 4 AM to 9 AM)

Technology and Equipment

Familiarity with the following equipment is preferred, although prior experience is not mandatory:

• Siemens Dual Source CT 128 Flash
• Definition 64 (for interventional CT)
• Definition Edge 128 in the ER

The hospital utilizes EMR systems and software, including:

• EMR: EPIC
• Medication dispensing: Pyxis
• Injector: MedRad
• PACS: Change Healthcare

Floating and Orientation

Typically, technologists will not be required to float to other units.

The orientation process will include:

• 1 week in the department, with additional time if necessary for thorough training

Scheduling Information

This position operates on a fixed weekend rotation schedule, with positions available for every weekend shift. Shifts are available in 8, 10, or 12-hour formats, with night shifts always being 12 hours.

Holiday Expectations

Staff will be expected to work every other holiday.

Scrub color is flexible, provided it maintains a professional appearance without logos or designs.
