Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Cardiac Stepdown unit. The focus of this role is to provide high-quality patient care to individuals with cardiac conditions, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout their treatment journey.

Unit Details

• Number of Beds: 30
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Equipment Used: GE telemetry and Rover, portable WOWs, Welch-Allen VS machine
• Documentation System: Meditech

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

• Administering medications and treatments as per the physician's orders.
• Monitoring and assessing patient conditions, particularly in terms of cardiac health.
• Providing support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and expectations.
• Utilizing telemetry to monitor patients' cardiac status and conduct EKG rhythm identification.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Experience in med-surg nursing with a strong understanding of cardiac medications and drips.
• Proficiency in EKG rhythm identification.
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system is preferred.

Shifts & Scheduling

The position requires three full 12-hour shifts along with 3-4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period. Self-scheduling is available, and nurses may float to other areas as necessary based on staffing needs.

Dress Code

Navy blue scrubs are required for all nursing staff.
