We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse II for the MedSurg/Telemetry Float Pool. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, including medical-surgical, telemetry, neuro, and observation units.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the MedSurg/Telemetry Float Pool.
• Float to various units as required, including multiple medical-surgical and telemetry units.
• Participate in daily shift huddles and collaborate with team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Conduct bedside reports and perform a two-person skin assessment within the first four hours of the shift.
• Complete required training and simulations in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
• Understand and maintain sterile field practices during nursing procedures.

Shift Requirements

• 12-hour shifts; days and weekends.
• Four weekend shifts required every four weeks.
• Holiday shifts based on unit needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered nurse in a Med/Surg/Telemetry setting.
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center is essential.
• ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications are required; NIHSS certification is preferred.
• Ability to float to various units and adapt to different patient populations.

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of two shifts, with an additional shift as needed.
• No on-call responsibilities; a standby response time of 30 minutes applies during low census situations.
• Staffing office communication via a texting service; assignments provided 30-60 minutes in advance.
