Job Overview

This position is located in a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department (ED) within a state-of-the-art facility managing over 100,000 visits annually. The department serves a diverse patient population and is recognized as a Level I trauma center, handling critical cases and boarder patients.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a busy emergency department setting.
• Assess and triage patients accurately based on their conditions.
• Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment to manage trauma and emergency cases.
• Utilize telemetry equipment and support patient monitoring as needed.
• Assist with boarder patients and facilitate a smooth patient flow within the department.

Job Requirements

• Current RN License in New York State.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an Emergency Department.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Previous travel experience in an Emergency Department is necessary.

Certifications

• BLS (American Heart Association only).
• ACLS (American Heart Association only).
• NIHSS certification.

Schedule

This position requires a rotating schedule that includes day, evening, and night shifts, as well as blocked weekends, and may include floating, holidays, and on-call duties based on unit needs.

Due to the nature of the role, first-time travelers will not be supported.
