Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

The Cath Lab is an advanced procedural environment focusing on both mechanical and electrical diagnosis and intervention for cardiac patients. We specialize in caring for adult and pediatric patients with a diverse range of cardiac conditions, featuring comprehensive pre-and post-procedural care areas.

Schedule Options

• 36 hours per week
• Four 10-hour days (7am–5:30pm)
• Three 12-hour days (7am–7:30pm)

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing exceptional patient care before, during, and after procedural interventions.
• Collaborating with the cardiovascular technician team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administering moderate sedation and monitoring patients through their procedures.
• Performing and understanding right and left heart hemodynamics and various cardiac interventions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA).
• Moderate sedation training.
• Knowledge of dysrhythmia and telemetry required.
• Experience with TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, and other structural heart procedures preferred.
• Familiarity with mechanical circulatory support devices including ECMO, Impella, IABP, and LVADs.
• Experience with a range of interventions such as CTO, PCI, pericardiocentesis, and vascular interventions.
• Critical care or cardiac experience is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cardiovascular certification or RCES preferred.
• Familiarity with device and ablation procedures and equipment.
• Experience in EP Lab preferred.
