Position Description
Join a dedicated team at a leading healthcare facility with a mission to provide exceptional care. This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, equipped to handle a diverse array of medical situations.
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 101
- Patient Ratios: 4:1 typically; up to 7:1 on behavioral holds
- Unit Staffing: Nursing staff supported by technicians working in cardiac monitoring and internal processing, with clerical support available days and nights.
- Type of Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
- Documentation System: Cerner
Scheduling Requirements
All shifts must meet department needs; every other weekend availability is required. Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department is necessary, although floating outside of the department is not required.
Patient Experience Requirements
Commitment to respectful behavior and positive patient interactions is essential. Nurses are expected to apply the AIDET framework and ensure that patient boards are consistently updated with information during their visits.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting.
- Experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center, with a high volume of over 100,000 visits per year preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
- Certifications required before submitting for consideration include ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC.
