Unit Information
Acute Care inpatient oncology, Medical-Surgical.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in a medical/surgical setting.
- Monitor and assess patient health status and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist healthcare team in developing and implementing patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care.
- Maintain a safe and effective environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a medical/surgical nursing specialty.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Holiday Expectations
Must work 2 major holidays from the following options: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and 1 minor holiday from the following options: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve.
