Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift Information

Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts per week with 2 call shifts.

Job Summary

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the emergency setting. This role includes the assessment, planning, implementation, and coordination of patient care from admission to discharge, in accordance with established protocols and standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop nursing care plans in the emergency department.
• Implement patient care interventions and monitor for effectiveness.
• Utilize accepted standards and protocols including Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Provide care for patients in accordance with clinical pathways and best practices.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is required. Candidates with experience in Critical Access Hospital (CAH) settings are preferred.

Certifications/Requirements

• General Certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS, NRP, ATT.
• Nursing Certifications: CPI, ENPC, RNFA, TNCC, AWHONN, STABLE, ASLS, NBSTSA, APHON, CMA, CCMA, RMA, C-EFM.

Housing
