We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg 3CC team. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that emphasizes quality patient care and professional growth.

Position Details

• Unit Type: Med Surg (Medical Surgical)
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: As needed

Patient Care Information

• Number of Beds: 30
• Nurse:Patient Ratio:
  • Days: 1:4-5
  • Nights: 1:5-6
• Common Diagnoses: Total joint replacement, spinal surgery, urology procedures, abdominal surgery, bariatrics, and more.

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years
• Required Certifications: BLS Certification
• Preferred Skills: Surgical experience, post-operative care, early ambulation.

Unit Information

• Charge Nurse: Present on each shift; may take low acuity assignments on nights.
• Support Staff: Nurse aides/patient care technicians available (1 tech per 12 patients).
• Equipment Management: RNs are responsible for troubleshooting respiratory equipment, with RT performing treatments.
• Monitoring: Remote tele packs are used; monitor techs read and interpret data.

Scheduling and Shifts

• Shift Times: 0700-1930, 1900-0730
• Scheduling: Manager manages the schedule; self-scheduling and block scheduling options available based on unit needs.
