Description
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team. This position requires expertise in critical care and mechanical ventilation, focusing primarily on adult patients in inpatient and emergency department settings.
Unit Information
- Unit Type: Respiratory Therapy
- Treatments Per Day: 5-6 ventilators
- Patient Demographics: Adults
- Area Covered: Inpatient and Emergency Department
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced respiratory therapies, including drawing and analyzing arterial blood gases (ABGs) from arterial lines and punctures.
- Assist with intubations as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
Qualifications
- Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a critical care setting.
- Certifications: Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, CRT (or RRT preferred).
Shift Information
- Shift Type: Nights
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, three days a week, including every other weekend.
- Holiday Requirement: Possible
Additional Notes
- This position does not require the Respiratory Therapist to be the only staff member on-site.
- Department-specific orientation will be provided.
- No special dress code required for this role.
