Unit Information

Join our Progressive Care Unit, a dynamic environment dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. The unit features:

• Number of Beds: 44
• Number of Staff: 95
• Patient Ratios: 4/1 at grid, 5/1 when stretched
• Type of Equipment: IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pump, Chest tubes, Trachs, Patient lifts
• EMR System: Cerner

General Information

The Progressive Care Unit operates with a strong focus on teamwork and patient-centered care. Our team structure includes:

• Day Shift: 2 CNC/Charge Nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC
• Night Shift: 2 CNC/Charge Nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years
• Skills: Must possess neuro and trauma care experience.
• Preferred Experience: Candidates with expertise in neuro and trauma care will be prioritized.

Responsibilities

The role includes performing various clinical procedures such as:

• Neuro and spinal checks
• C-Collar and TLSO brace placement
• Chest tube management, PCA pump, and IV infusions
• Lumbar drain operations
• Feeding tube placement
• Blood transfusions

Additional Information

Evening and night shifts will include every other weekend commitment. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs.

Floating Areas

Potential floating areas include stepdown units and medical-surgical units.
