Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, providing critical care and support to patients in need.

General Information

• Unit Name: Emergency Department
• Number of Beds: 101
• Typical Patient Ratios: 4:1; up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
• Type of Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Uniform: Navy scrubs required

Scheduling Requirements

• Must work every other weekend
• Flexible scheduling based on departmental needs

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency setting
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide coaching and real-time feedback to peers
• Adaptability to work within various sections of the Emergency Department

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
• Experience in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center preferred
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork and effective communication skills
• Required Certifications:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC
  • CPI
  • NIHSS
  • ENPC (within 90 days of hire)
