Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team. The RN will provide care in a progressive care unit, focusing on delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 20
• Staffing:
  • Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
  • Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
• Patient Ratios: 1:5, with 1:6 during peak times
• Unit Characteristics: Inpatient overflow unit that accommodates mixed medical surgical and step-down patients. Short stays (<24 hours) are common.
• Equipment Used: Telemetry, with hardwired bedside monitoring for all patients requiring it.
• Electronic Medical Record: Cerner

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
  • Telemetry competency
  • Progressive care experience
• Preferred Skills:
  • Recent progressive care experience
• Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS

Additional Information

• Floating Requirements: Travelers may be required to float to other units as needed.
• Dress Code: Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, all white attire.
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend required, no call required.
