Job Description

We are seeking a Level II Registered Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality patient care through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research based on evidence. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the nurse will be accountable for delivering competent care based on established standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in the neuromusculoskeletal unit.
• Assume an expanded role, which may include charge nurse responsibilities, preceptor duties, and participation in committees.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient management.
• Participate in professional development and research initiatives.
• Maintain a standard of care that meets regulatory and professional guidelines.

Schedule

• Shifts include Days, Evenings, and Nights.
• Work on weekends and holidays may be required.
• On-call and callback responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only.
• Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience required.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
