Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our medical-surgical unit in Chattanooga, TN. This role requires a dedicated professional who excels in teamwork, communication, and collaboration, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.

Unit Overview

• Number of Beds: 30
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Staffing: Includes Clinical Coordinators, Unit Secretary, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and Case Management
• Available Equipment: Walkers, IV pumps, SCDs, and other essential medical devices
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 4 weekend shifts within a 28-day schedule, with participation in holiday rotation
• Floating Policy: Staff may float to other units as part of their rotation
• Patient Experience Requirement: Aim for a 72% satisfaction, utilizing communication boards

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience, including familiarity with respiratory diseases, renal disease, GI illnesses, telemetry, CVCs, and indwelling catheters.
• Advanced skills in administering heparin drips and other applicable procedures.
• Required Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support)

Dress Code

Navy Blue Scrubs are required.
