Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic clinical team. This role entails providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, handling a diverse range of medical conditions and trauma cases.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department.
- Provide care for various diagnoses including abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headaches, and injuries.
- Administer common drips such as cardiac, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, sedation, and analgesia.
- Utilize advanced technologies in patient care, including monitoring and troubleshooting equipment such as vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow devices.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including charge nurses and paramedics, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform triage and attend to patients in a timely manner, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Engage in continuous education and orientation to stay current with best practices in emergency care.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state.
- Mandatory certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS.
- Relevant emergency department experience is preferred.
- Ability to provide effective patient care in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment
- Unit consists of 54 beds with a dedicated Fast Track area and separate triage and holding rooms.
- Security personnel available 24/7 within the Emergency Department.
- Daily patient volume averages over 75 patients.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
Scheduling
- Self-scheduling and block scheduling options are available.
- Weekend and holiday coverage is required based on departmental needs.
Dress Code
Professionals are expected to adhere to a navy blue scrubs dress code.
Orientation
Unit-specific orientation will be provided, with details assigned during the orientation week.
