Job Description

We are seeking an experienced LDRP Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The RN will provide quality healthcare in the Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) setting, ensuring the well-being of both mother and child throughout the birthing process.

Job Details

• Shift Type: Nights
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirements: 6-9 weekend shifts within a 6-week period
• Call Requirements: Occasional on-call responsibilities

Unit Information

• Unit Type: LDRP
• Total L&D Beds: 15
• OR Suites for C-Sections: 2
• Triage Beds: 3
• Postpartum Beds: 18
• Births per Month: Approximately 160-200
• Common Diagnoses: Preeclampsia, diabetes, lack of prenatal care, substance use, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to obstetric patients throughout labor and delivery.
• Monitor fetal and maternal health, titrate medications as necessary.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Assist with triage and manage patient assignments as needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and assessments.

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: 2 years
• Required Certifications:
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
  • BLS (AHA)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • STABLE Certification

Additional Information

• Floating Requirements: May float within Zone 3 as needed.
• Scrub Color/Dress Code: Hospital scrubs required.
• Orientation: 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation with a week of comprehensive training.
