Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Operating Room Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in the surgical environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking skills and leadership while planning for the care of patients undergoing various surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
• Assist surgeons during procedures and maintain sterile techniques.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding procedures and care plans.
• Update physician preference cards and assist in establishing timeliness of surgical cases.
• Supervise and support personnel providing patient care in the operating room.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room setting.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.
• Ability to float between multiple locations within the region as needed.
• Knowledge of various service lines, including General, Urology, Spine, GYN, Ortho, Plastics, Breasts, and Robotics.

AHCA Fingerprinting clearance is required prior to starting the position.
