CT Technologist

Position Description

The role of the CT Technologist involves working in a free-standing emergency department, effectively utilizing advanced imaging technology and providing high-quality patient care.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 15 bed free-standing emergency department
• Staffing:
  • Day Shift: 3 nurses
  • Night Shift: 3 nurses
  • Mid-Shift: 1 nurse
  • CT Technologists: 1 on days, 1 on nights, and 1 on mid-shift
• Equipment:
  • GE BrightSpeed Elite CT Scanner
  • GE Definium Rad Room
  • GE Optima AMX Portable Machine
• Electronic Medical Records: Meditech, Agfa PACS, and GE Centricity RIS

Typical Procedures Performed

• All CT Scans, including CT Angiograms (excluding cardiac and biopsies)
• All Diagnostic Radiology Exams

Qualifications

Required Certifications:

• ARRT CT
• BLS
• Texas Medical Board General Radiography

Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred.

Preferred Skills and Fit

The ideal candidate will possess strong people skills and a CT registry. A previous team member noted for her exceptional fit for the unit serves as a benchmark for desired personality traits.

Dress Code

Scrubs - black bottoms and olive tops.

Availability

Weekends may be needed depending on staffing requirements; no on-call duties are expected.
