Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Position Summary

The Cath Lab focuses on mechanical and electrical diagnosis and intervention for cardiac patients in the upstate New York region. This position will involve working within our comprehensive inpatient and outpatient procedural labs that cater to both adult and pediatric patients with an array of cardiac conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care in procedures related to cardiac interventions.
• Collaborate with RN staff and Cardiovascular Technicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Assist with both pre-procedural and post-procedural care in holding areas.
• Utilize current knowledge and skills in catheterization, electrophysiology, and various cardiac interventions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab nursing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association).
• Moderate sedation training and proficiency in dysrhythmia and telemetry monitoring.
• Experience with TAVR, Microclip, and Watchmen procedures.
• Knowledge of Right Heart and Left Heart Hemodynamics, Cardiac Interventions, CTO, PCI, and Pericardiocentesis.
• Experience with Vascular Interventions, RotoPro, LVADs, AngioVac, and FlowTriever.
• Experience in Mechanical Circulatory Support including ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo, and LVAD required.
• Familiarity with Structural Heart conditions, including TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, CardioMEMS, PFO, ASD, VSD, Valvuloplasty, and ASA.
• Critical care or cardiac nursing experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cardiovascular certification or RCES preferred.
• Familiarity with device and ablation procedures and equipment.
• Experience in Electrophysiology (EP) Lab.

Work Schedule

• Full-time position with 36 hours per week preference.
• Standard shift options include 4x10 hour days or 3x12 hour days.
