Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurses to join our team in providing exceptional care for cardiac patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Our facility, located in the upstate New York region, features four catheterization labs and three electrophysiology labs, serving a diverse range of adult and pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive pre and post-procedural care in collaboration with cardiovascular technicians.
• Assist in mechanical and electrical diagnosis and intervention procedures for cardiac patients.
• Monitor patient hemodynamics and provide care for a variety of cardiac conditions.
• Administer and manage moderate sedation during procedures.
• Provide telemetry and dysrhythmia management in critical situations.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA).
• Trained in moderate sedation practices.
• Experience with Right Heart and Left Heart Hemodynamics, cardiac interventions, and vascular interventions.
• Familiarity with procedures such as TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, and angioplasty.
• Experience with Mechanical Circulatory Support devices, including ECMO, Impella, IABP, and LVAD.
• Critical care or cardiac experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cardiovascular certification or RCES preferred.
• Familiarity with device and ablation procedures and equipment.
• Experience in electrophysiology lab settings.

Work Schedule

The position offers flexible scheduling options, including 4x10 or 3x12-hour shifts. The work will involve weekends and holidays as needed.
