    EP RN Travel Opportunity - Sacramento, CA

    Facility: Mercy General Hospital
    Location: Sacramento, California
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Description

    A hospital in Sacramento is seeking an experienced Electrophysiology (EP) Registered Nurse for a travel contract. The role involves working primarily in the EP lab with responsibilities including tech scrub duties.


    Requirements

    • Experience:

      • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
      • At least 6 months experience with pacemaker and ICD implants (required).
      • Ablation experience (atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, SVT) is required.
      • 1 year or more of conscious sedation experience.
      • Circulator and monitoring experience in a procedural room setting, with knowledge of sterile field protocols.
      • 6 months or more EP experience plus 1 year or more Cath lab or Interventional Radiology experience preferred. Candidates with only Cath lab experience may be considered but may lack full EP lab experience.
    • Certifications:

      • Active California RN license.
      • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
    • Additional:

      • Must have a great attitude and be a team player.
      • Able to work Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM, with at least 2 days of call per week (first to float).

    Pre-Assignment Requirements

    • Completion of required training modules (3-4 hours, unpaid) before starting the assignment.
    • Submission of 2 supervisory references:
      • 1 within the last 12 months
      • 1 within the last 3 years
    • Passing the Dysrhythmia Exam (Basic) through UNA within 24-48 hours of acceptance (pass/fail with two attempts allowed). A screenshot showing attempts is required.

    Notes

    • The unit was originally seeking an EP Tech but will consider an EP RN who can scrub.
    • The role involves working with pacemaker implants, ICD procedures, EP studies, and various ablations.
    • Candidates must be able to function effectively in a sterile procedural environment without contamination.
