Job Description

• Position: Registered Nurse in Emergency Room
• Shift: Primarily nights
• Schedule: Rotating 36-hour shifts
• Variable start dates available (e.g., October 13, November 3)
• Shared housing provided (no pets, no guests allowed; must bring own transportation)
• Candidate must have current flu vaccine

Required Credentials & Compliance

Licensure & Certifications

• Valid nursing license with primary source verification (NURSYS and Board of Nursing required)
• BLS certification (AHA preferred; Red Cross accepted)
• Current flu vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30) with no exemptions
• Fit Test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date (must be completed prior to start; no onsite testing)
• TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test)
• MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
• Physician health statement within 365 days of start date
• Criminal background checks including Massachusetts CORI, SSN trace, national sex offender check, and exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, Medicaid lists)
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation (if fit test required)

• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
• Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above)
• Skills checklist
• Candidate submission coversheet

Additional Requirements

• MGB MVH Housing Agreement if using shared housing
• Confirmation of Assignment/POI form upon acceptance and for any start date changes
• Education verification through background check company

Additional Notes

• No MA Conditional Licenses accepted
• No religious exemptions for fit testing or flu vaccine
• Shared housing rules: no pets, no guests, bring own transportation
• Background checks and credential verifications must be current and updated if there is a break in service longer than 6 months
