Job Opportunity: RN Cath Lab
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Facility: Massachusetts General Hospital (Mass General Brigham)
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts with a rotating day off
- Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years cath lab experience
- At least 1 year travel nursing experience
Required Credentials & Compliance
Licenses & Certifications
- Professional Nursing License: Primary source verification required within 30 days of start; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted.
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for onboarding (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred).
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support): Required for onboarding (same accepted organizations as BLS).
Health & Immunizations
- Fit Test: N95 respirator fit test within 365 days of start, updated annually. Must be completed prior to start; no onsite testing available.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): Documentation of vaccination or proof of immunity required.
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30); no exemptions allowed.
- TB Test: Negative TB skin test or blood test within 3 months of start, updated if >6 month break.
- Health Statement: Physician statement within 365 days of start, updated if >6 month break.
- Hepatitis B: Strongly preferred but optional (vaccination record or proof of immunity).
- Tdap: Preferred, vaccine within last 10 years.
- Positive PPD - Negative Chest X-Ray: Required if applicable.
Background & Professional Checks
- Criminal Background Check: Within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break. Includes international searches if applicable.
- Massachusetts CORI Check: Within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break.
- SSN Trace: Must be run with criminal check, covering last 7 years of addresses/employment/education.
- National Sex Offender Check: Within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
- Exclusion Checks: Within 30 days prior to start and annually; includes OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid lists.
- Education Verification: Verified through background check company; highest level of education must be confirmed.
Submission Requirements
- Resume: Past 7 years of work experience with city and state included.
- References: Two recent references required, at least one supervisor or above in the relevant skillset.
- Skills Checklist: Required for submission.
- Candidate Submission Coversheet: Required for submission.
Additional Requirements
- Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation: Required if fit test is required.
- Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form: Required for all initial assignments and extensions.
This position is ideal for experienced cath lab RNs with travel nursing experience who meet the credentialing and health requirements outlined above.
