Job Opportunity: RN Cath Lab (Long-Term Assignment)

Location: Albany, New York
Specialty: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work site: Cardiac Cath Lab and prep-recovery area
  • Responsibilities include:
    • Performing RN circulating duties during cardiac cath, PCI, and vascular procedures
    • Preparing and recovering patients in the cath lab
  • Participate in Emergency STEMI on-call team rotation (6-8 shifts per month), including full weekend coverage (Friday 5:30pm to Monday 7am)
  • Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Required Experience & Certifications

  • Procedural cardiac cath lab experience required
  • Experience with Emergency STEMI team on-call preferred
  • Current New York State RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications

Required Credentials & Compliance (Must be current and verifiable)

  • Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Licenses: Current RN license with online verification dated within 30 days of start
  • Health & Safety:
    • Fit Test (specific mask requirements)
    • 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
    • COVID-19 vaccine proof or approved exemption (booster required by Sept 2025)
    • Influenza vaccine or approved exemption for current flu season
    • MMR (proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer)
    • Hepatitis B vaccination series (no titers accepted)
    • Varicella vaccination or IgG titer
    • 2 Step PPD or IGRA TB test (with chest x-ray if positive, per regional requirements)
    • Physical/Health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year

Professional & Compliance Requirements

  • Signed Trinity Health forms including:
    • Code of Conduct
    • Confidentiality and Information Security Agreement
    • Integrity and Audit Services Form
    • Conflict of Interest Disclosure
  • Background checks and verifications:
    • Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check (last 7 years)
    • Social Security Number verification
    • Education verification (highest degree or diploma)
    • EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check
    • OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion check
    • NSO (National Sex Offender) check
  • Trinity-specific testing and documentation:
    • Specialty-specific competency testing (within last year)
    • Joint Commission CORE exam (within last year)
    • Skills checklist (provided by agency for clinical contractors)
    • System Access Form (completed and uploaded one week before start)
  • Standard I-9 verification completed by agency

Additional Notes

  • On-call STEMI team rotation includes weekend coverage
  • All documentation must be uploaded and verified in the system prior to start date
  • Compliance with all Trinity Health policies and procedures is mandatory
