Location: Redding, California

Job Description
- Deliver safe patient care using nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within scope of practice in the ICU.
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
- Maintain standards of care in the ICU.
- Be responsible and accountable for assigned patients’ care.
- Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient condition, hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptomatology.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Required Credentials & Certifications for Onboarding
- Nursing License: Nursys verification required.
- Certifications:
- ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- DCI/BVP (Workplace Violence Prevention training)
- Testing & Exams:
- Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%)
- Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening (minimum 80%)
- Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80%)
- Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80%)
- Prime Skills Checklist (no expiration on assignment)
- Professional Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport
- Prime OIG clearance
- Prime SAM/EPLS verification
- Prime Agency Attestation (completed after all credentials uploaded)
- Prime Resume (required for submission)
- Two professional references (required for submission)
- Prime CA Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (valid for 2 years)
- Prime Criminal Background Check (national, within one year)
- Prime Form I-9 (Employment eligibility verification)
- Prime Job Description signed by employee
- Prime Education Verification
- Personal Health History & Immunizations:
- COVID-19 Vaccine: 2 doses plus booster or declination completed
- MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination required, no declinations accepted
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31), no declinations accepted
- TB Test: Within one year of start date
- Varicella: Vaccination or titer showing immunity
- Tdap: Adult vaccination required, no declinations accepted
- Physical/Health Statement: Annual, must state clear to work
- Fit Test: Annual respirator fit test required (onsite testing available at select CA locations)
- Prime Drug Screening: Minimum 10-panel urine drug screen (excluding THC) plus psychoactive THC saliva test, within 60 days of start (CA locations only)
- Prime Color-blind Test: Annual (Relias accepted)
Additional Notes
- Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray is optional.
- Name Verification Affidavit may be required for any discrepancies between credentials.
- Badge photo and orientation packet are optional but may be requested during onboarding.
This position requires a highly skilled critical care RN capable of managing complex ICU patients, maintaining compliance with strict credentialing and health requirements, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
