Travel RN Opportunity – Level III NICU

Location: Joplin, Missouri
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Unit: Level III NICU (16 beds)
  • Shift: Nights, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
  • Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:2 or 1:3 (estimates)
  • Equipment: Primarily GE equipment
  • EMR System: EPIC

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years in a Level III or higher NICU, including 2-3 years with bubble CPAP, high flow, and high-risk deliveries
  • Certifications:
    • Required: BLS (AHA only), NRP
    • Preferred: NIHSS
  • Skills: Stable, NRP certified, strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Float: May be required to float to mother/baby and pediatrics units
  • Personality Fit: Good team player, optimistic, kind, and shows great initiative

Additional Information

  • Dress Code: Black scrubs only; no t-shirts with writing except approved M-Wear
  • Weekend/Call: As required by facility, typically every other weekend
