Description
Job Opportunity: RN ICU - Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 6 weeks (interpreted from 6 days as approximately 1 week, but since 6 < 4 months, contract length is 6 months)
Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift: 50/50 split between day and night shifts, every other week (EOW) and every other half (EOH)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years recent acute care inpatient experience or current ICU experience
- At least 1+ year travel nursing experience required
Certifications & Licenses
- BLS Certification: Required for onboarding (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred)
- Professional Nursing License: Primary source verification required within 30 days of start date; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted
- Resume: Must include past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- References: 2 recent references required, at least 1 supervisor or above in skillset
- Skills Checklist: Required for submission
Health & Immunization Requirements
- N95 Fit Test: Required within 365 days of start date and updated annually; no religious exemptions
- MMR Vaccine or Immunity Proof: Documentation of required vaccines or immunity via blood test
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30); no exemptions allowed
- TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative blood test within 3 months of start date; updated if >6 month break
- Health Statement: Physician statement within 365 days of start date; updated if >6 month break
- Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation: Required if fit test is required
- Hepatitis B: Strongly preferred (vaccination record or immunity proof or declination)
- Tdap Vaccine: Preferred within last 10 years
Background & Compliance Checks
- Criminal Background Check: Within 45 days prior to start date; updated if >6 month break
- Massachusetts CORI Check: Within 30 days prior to start date; updated if >6 month break
- Education Verification: Verified through background check company
- SSN Trace: Required with criminal check, covering last 7 years
- National Sex Offender Check: Within 30 days of start and updated annually
- Exclusion Checks: Within 30 days of start and annually (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid)
Additional Notes
- All required documentation must be uploaded and verified prior to onboarding
- No religious or medical exemptions for vaccines or fit testing
- Fit testing cannot be done onsite; must be completed prior to start date
- Compliance with all hospital system policies and credentialing requirements is mandatory
