Description
Job Opportunity: RN CVOR
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts (variable based on need/volume)
- Call: Rotating call 2-3 nights per week and rotating weekends, based on department needs
- Holiday: Call hours based on need
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years CVOR experience (higher value confirmed)
- Prior Travel Experience: Required (explicit mention of prior travel experience)
- Additional Duties: May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed
- Systems: EPIC experience required
Required Credentials & Certifications
Licenses:
- Current nursing license with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
- License/Certificate primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID (must not be expired and address must match requirements)
Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
Health Requirements:
- MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
- Varicella: Documented proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
- Fit Test: Required for all travelers, preferred prior to start, updated annually
- TB Testing: 2 Step PPD or IGRA within required timeframes; positive results require chest X-ray and annual questionnaire
- Health Statement: Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- 12 Panel Drug Screen: Within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
Onboarding & Testing Requirements
- Signed Assignment Agreement (required prior to onboarding)
- Ascension Resume/Profile and 2 Professional References (required for submission)
- Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics) with minimum 80% score, updated yearly
- Ascension EKG Exam (passing score of 80%, two attempts allowed)
- Ascension Epic Test-Out: Epic test results and training checklist with signed attestation
- Ascension Skills Checklist: Clinical skills checklist completed within one year of start, updated annually
- Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding (completed onsite)
- Ascension Onboarding Education Attestation (6 hours pre-hire training)
- Ascension Nova StatStrip Pre-Hire Modules (required for non-allied positions)
- Background Checks: Criminal background, EPLS, employment verification, education verification, and assignment confirmation as per policy
Summary
This is a 13-week long-term assignment for an experienced RN CVOR with at least 2 years of CVOR experience and prior travel experience. The role requires flexibility with rotating shifts, call duties, and potential floating within a 40-mile radius. Candidates must have EPIC experience and meet comprehensive credentialing, certification, health, and onboarding requirements.
