Travel RN Burn Nurse Opportunity
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Burn care for a travel assignment in Wichita, Kansas.
Required Experience
- Specialty: RN Burn

- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation
- Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding (completed onsite)
- Ascension Nova StatStrip training
- Ascension Cerner Test-Out
- Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical, completed within one year of start, updated annually)
- Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen (within 30 days prior to start, updated annually)
- Ascension Education Verification (within 90 days of start)
- Ascension Criminal Background Check (7-year search, updated annually)
- Ascension EPLS (within 90 days of start)
- Ascension Employment Verification (past 7 years, updated annually)
- Ascension Confirmation of Assignment (provided upon initial assignment and updates)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
- Fit Test: Required annually (preferred prior to start)
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions require mask wearing
- TB Screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within a year, and annual TB questionnaire
- 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) within 30 days prior to start
- Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Health Statement: Completed physical exam or statement of good health prior to first assignment, updated annually
Additional Notes
- Resume/Profile and at least two professional references required prior to first assignment
- FACIS Questionnaire required if any disciplinary actions exist
- Some optional checklists and evaluations may be requested but are not mandatory for onboarding
