Travel RN Medical/Surgical Job - Wichita, Kansas
Position Details
- Specialty: RN Medical/Surgical
- Location: Wichita, Kansas
- Employment Type: Travel
- Schedule: Every other weekend, no call
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
- Start Date: Must start by January 7 for increased rate
Experience Requirements

Required Certifications and Licenses

- MOAB Moderate Risk De-Escalation Training

- Driver’s License/State ID – Must be valid and match address requirements
Health and Immunization Requirements
- MMR – Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted
- Fit Test – Required annually; preferred prior to start
- Hepatitis B – Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Influenza Vaccine – Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); declinations accepted with mask requirement
- TB Screening – Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within a year, and annual TB questionnaire
- Varicella – Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history; no declinations accepted
- Tdap – Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted
- 12 Panel Drug Screen – Within 30 days prior to start; includes 12 specified drugs; MRO review required for prescriptions
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Health Statement – Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- Ascension Skills Checklist – Clinical skills checklist completed within one year of start, updated annually
- Ascension Profile and Professional References – Resume/profile and at least two professional references required prior to first assignment
- Background Checks – Criminal background check, EPLS, employment verification, education verification, and confirmation of assignment required; must be current and updated as specified
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation – Completion of pre-hire education modules
- Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding – Onsite completion required
- Ascension Nova StatStrip Training – Pre-hire modules required for non-allied positions
