Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room
Location: Mequon, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH)
- Care for Emergency Department (ED) patients as well as back-bedded patients
- Use EPIC electronic health record system
- May need to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles if needed
Required Experience
- Specialty: RN Emergency Room

Health & Compliance Requirements
- Ascension Color Vision test (completed prior to start, updated every 3 years)
- Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics; minimum 80% score, updated yearly)
- Ascension EKG Exam (passing score of 80%, two attempts allowed)
- Ascension Epic Test-Out (Epic test results and training checklist with signed attestation)
- MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
- Varicella: Documented proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
- Fit Test: Required for all travelers, preferred before start, updated annually
- Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot): Required with specific timing prior to start; TB questionnaire updated annually
- Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray within 1 year and annual TB questionnaire
- Health Statement: Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen: Within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
Onboarding & Documentation Requirements
- Signed Assignment Agreement (required for onboarding)
- Ascension Resume/Profile (required for submission)
- Ascension 2 Professional References (required for submission)
- License/Certificate Verification (current and primary source verified within 30 days prior to start)
- Criminal Background Check (including SSN trace, employment verification, OIG search, national sex offender check; updated annually)
- EPLS check (updated within 90 days of start)
- Skills Checklist (clinical, completed within one year of start, updated annually)
- Education Verification (completed within 90 days of start)
- Employment Verification (past 7 years, updated annually)
- Confirmation of Assignment (provided at initial assignment and with each extension)
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation (6 hours pre-hire training)
- Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding (done onsite)
- Ascension Nova StatStrip (pre-hire modules for non-allied positions)
- Optional: Ascension MOAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior)

- Floating to other sites within 40 miles may be required
